Zoladex LA 10.8mg is a subcutaneous implant injection containing Goserelin Acetate, a gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist (GnRH agonist). It is designed for extended hormone suppression, with one dose effective for 3 months.

Uses:
Zoladex LA 10.8mg is used for:
  1. Prostate cancer (hormone-sensitive, advanced or localized)
  2. Breast cancer in premenopausal women (hormone-receptor positive)
  3. Endometriosis (long-term management)
  4. Uterine fibroids (to reduce fibroid size before surgery)
  5. Management of abnormal uterine bleeding
  6. Fertility treatment protocols

Storage Instructions:
  1. Store below 25°C
  2. Protect from light and moisture
  3. Do not freeze
  4. Keep out of reach of children

How it Works (Mechanism of Action):
Goserelin Acetate acts as a GnRH agonist. Initially, it causes a surge in luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), which increases sex hormone levels. Continued use leads to receptor downregulation and inhibition of LH/FSH release, drastically reducing estrogen and testosterone levels—this helps in shrinking hormone-sensitive tumors or tissues.
