Product Introduction:
Annifer 1mg contains Anastrozole, an aromatase inhibitor that reduces the production of estrogen in the body. Since many breast cancers grow in response to estrogen, lowering its levels helps prevent cancer progression or recurrence. It is typically taken once daily as part of long-term breast cancer treatment.

Uses:
Annifer 1mg is used for:
  1. Treatment of hormone receptor-positive breast cancer in postmenopausal women
  2. Adjuvant therapy after surgery or radiation for early-stage breast cancer
  3. First-line treatment of advanced or metastatic breast cancer
  4. Prevention of cancer recurrence in high-risk patients
  5. Treatment of ovarian cancer or endometriosis (off-label use)
  6. Fertility treatment in PCOS (off-label, under specialist guidance)

Storage Instructions:
  1. Store at room temperature (15°C to 30°C)
  2. Protect from moisture and direct sunlight
  3. Keep out of reach of children and pets
  4. Do not use after the expiry date

How It Works (Mechanism of Action):
Anastrozole works by inhibiting the enzyme aromatase, which is responsible for converting androgens into estrogen. In postmenopausal women, estrogen is mainly produced through this pathway. By blocking estrogen synthesis, Anastrozole starves hormone-sensitive tumors of their growth fuel, leading to tumor shrinkage or stabilization.
